If I die...

RobReed, you have to take care of Cleo! For real, sorry, but she loves you so much.

Right now I'm sitting in my office and the fire alarm is going full blast non-stop, just a constant awful noise that is killing my ears. Good thing Jennie put her scarf over the alarm in our office because it's too loud, it's still loud w/ the scarf but blood isn't pouring out of my ears yet.

About 15 min. ago this voice came over the intercom saying there was an emergency and to evacuate so we all took the stairs down the 8 flights, we're on the top, and it was painful for me after my 18.6 mile race yesterday. So we're standing outside watching for the okay to go back in and my boss says he thinks it's okay to go back and he has an important phone call so we all follow him into the elevator as the alarms are still going off and make it to the 8th floor, him assuring us we'll be okay :0) Now I'm in my office and this alarm is still going!!! I'm gonna go deaf!

I'll take her if you die. But there is a condition. You have to promise to spend a lot of time at home in your new place esp at the beginning. She really hates being by herself (which you know). Right now she at least always has Billy and then Jenn and I are there many times when you're gone. She'll be very depressed/neurotic if she is alone a lot.

Maybe think about getting her a stuffed animal or something. If you sleep with it, and leave it for her when you're gone, that may help when she's home alone (maybe). Also leave the radio or something on when you leave so she doesn't hear every little sound outside your apt. I think the constant background noise will help her sleep.

By the way if I were you I'd take a break and head someplace for coffee or tea or something the give the alarms time to stop.

the alarm eventually stopped and i didn't die, whoopie.

poor cleo! yeah, i hope she adjusts okay to our new pad.

Also about Cleo - if you're not already planning it maybe you should take a couple days off or somehow work your schedule so you're home more around the move so she can adjust. Remember how here at first you almost never left the apartment for a while?

i don't have any time to take off so i could come home at lunch maybe sometimes but otherwise i'll just have to cross my fingers that she's good.

Well you could try sticking with the deal RR and I made with the dogs which is give them a treat before you leave. I know she might not expect the same from you but it might transfer over. They always take them happily and go right into the bedroom and lie down. When I forget something and come back 10 seconds later they're literally already lying down.

Baby carrots are a good snack for this purpose if you are worried about her getting fat. ;)

well for sure in the beginning she might be a mess. first you guys move out, she might be a mess then, then we move out to a new place alone, it might not be pretty. then i go on vacation beginning of april and she's going to the cape for most of it and the kennel for some of it. disaster! but it's gotta be done.

yes they love their carrots!

too late, cleo's already fat! she needs daily runs around the commons when we move, or longer runs along the river.

Buy Me Stuff

Really?

Thanks, very nice of you.

First, check my Amazon.com Wish List and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.

Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.

A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
