i think friday night was similar to others, went w/ cleo to rr/j's. very foggy memory though. did we eat hot dogs and fries that night? what tv did we watch? oh, there was game 6 of basketball. anything else we watched? guess i'm useless for recounting the details of last friday night.
got up saturday morning around 8. watched some shows on my laptop, dad called at 11, he was stuck in traffic in the city. wow! i didn't expect him so soon. i'm still in bed. not ready. finally he made it to my place. he drives a big truck so beaky and i went downstairs to navigate him to the boston common garage where the truck would stay until he left sunday morning. dad came into my place, got the 5 second tour of the studio. made him wait for me while i showered and got ready for the day.

we decided to go eat something and figure out what to do. dad chatted w/ my mail lady about letter carrying in boston. he does this all the time since he's a letter carrier himself. not as much mail as there used to be, cutting routes all over the place: that was the story they were chatting about.
went to the globe on boylston for lunch. sat at the bar. the bartender was not so good but my turkey panini was good and dad seemed to like the reuben. i had a stella and dad had a couple sams: one seasonal 'cause the guy screwed up and a lager since he didn't like the seasonal. also ran into jake's bf danny there so my dad got to meet a gay guy :0)

we decided to go to fenway. dad hadn't been in years and since the yankees weren't in town he thought he'd enjoy it more not rooting for a team, just hoping the red sox lost. we scalped tickets from one of the usual guys and of course we ended up behind a pole. $45 tickets for $80 each. good thing it was dad's money. got there early and just relaxed in our 1930s seats. had some beer, peanuts and diet coke. at one point dad said '90% of these peanuts are empty.' and i said 'that's because i keep putting my empty shells in the bag :0)' i was trying not to make a mess but dad was just grabbing out my empties and throwing them on the ground mad there were no peanuts in them. he thought that was funny. so i started making a mess on the ground so dad could have some peanuts too.

the game was pretty good. red sox played well and brewers were hitting well but not scoring. i think the red sox won by 2 but that was just the first game of the doubleheader. i think the red sox won the second game too, by 1 maybe.
after the game we walked back to my place and took care of cleo. then we headed to the paramount for dinner. it was close to 10 i think by the time we got there. i got the usual steak tips, i'm not a big meat eater or steak person but these are real good plus they come w/ great mashed potatoes, green beans and onion rings. i also got dessert, some chocolate cake that dad loved!
we were going to head to the beacon hill pub but we were tired so went home to bed. dad slept on my floor on top of my thin mattress pad w/ blankets and a beaky until 8 sunday morning.
sunday morning we took the cleo out for a bit and then headed back to the paramount for breakfast. breakfast there is usually yummy. this time mine was only okay. i think because i got eggs instead of pancakes or a waffle. i should stick w/ those things or maybe try an omelet. i got to get the strawberry milkshake though. i wanted it the previous weekend but it's $6 so since it was dad's money...
after breakfast got dad's truck outta the garage and then to my place to get the rest of his things then he took off. a very quick trip but enough for us and we had a good time.
spent the rest of sunday cleaning up, laundry, phone calls, etc. db showed up that night and we went to the milky way to celebrate raelee's graduation. don't get to see her that much, especially when not running, so just great to hang out and talk about other things.
back to work on monday

Really?
Thanks, very nice of you.
First, check my Amazon.com Wish List and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.
Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.
A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
