but the same night as Madonna, Oct 15, what to do?
Well since I have no Madonna ticket yet and it'll cost me over $100 and I've seen her 3 times I think and I've never seen Yelle and it's only $18, I think my choice should be easy.
So much to do in October, it's fantastique!
Ha, he mentioned it again.

Dear Leader will be at TT's end of September.
Now that Aaron is in Belgium who knows how often we'll get to see him so ya better make these shows.
Yes she was great, sounded fabulous, even sang Sugar Boy! gotta get me one of those but the big surprise was she talked lots even though she said she wouldn't and she was hilarious w/ her English accented Fucks thrown in and the coughing during 'Worms' and the tuning troubles. Glad Nathan clued me in to this. Highlights for me: Paris Train and Sugar Boy
I think I saw her last in 2002 on Lansdowne St. maybe Avalon w/ Bacon Boy and I thought Nathan but Nathan doesn't remember. I do remember Nathan meeting Bacon Boy at a concert on Lansdowne and asking Nathan if he thought he was cute and he said yes, ha, yuck! Anyway, I think of Nathan as my Beth Orton guy. He bought me a CD way back when and then I thought we went to see her together and now for sure we have.
I think I just found it was at Avalon on July 31, 2002, right before I moved away to Kansas.

is better than your song this morning on WFNX! Too bad I missed the explanation and the playing of Opportune Moment because I was outside w/ Cleo. I think they won no problem and yes I did call in and vote!
Suck it, Kid!
so the night after the pops i was at agganis arena w/ michelle to see duran duran. she's a much bigger fan than me and had seen them a lot. i had only seen them do a free show at government center a while back when i lived here before vet school. hadn't seen michelle in forever, she's now living in nh and still working at harvard law and her daughter is almost 2 and i've never met her. we met in kenmore sq at uno's for dinner. i was so exhausted from the night before and working all day! no booze for me this night. got to catch up at dinner, got lots of scoop on the daughter and told the latest happenings w/ me. then walked on down to bu. caught a few songs from the opening band, your vegas. they were fine. so duran duran was pretty good, i had lots of fun dancing. they played longer than i thought and simon sounded great. he looked pretty great too, at least what i could see, he was a bit blurry for me, i had a floor seat but in the second section. i'd have to say i was more into him than i ever was before. he was never my favorite. it was a good show, glad i went!
I went to Symphony Hall for this on Tuesday May 27th w/ Jason. He was on some trip that had him in Cali for a bit on busyness and then a quick stop in Boston to do our thang. The night started off weirdly. I got kinda dressed up because it was the Pops and I felt like I was going on a date w/ Jason which was a bit weird because I have a boyfriend and he was w/ me when I was getting ready. I told him I had had sex w/ Jason, that was about a year ago, same situation actually, we went to see The Cowboy Junkies w/ the Pops. I think I felt some weirdness because the last time I saw Jason it was weird because I went to a Sheila show w/ him that we had planned a while before and then I ended up meeting db and he went to a Sheila show w/ me the day before I went w/ jason and that was the first time i slept w/ db and made things weird the next night w/ jason because he figured things would go like last time, which they might have except i did get sick that night and as i'll explain i got sick this time too. anyway so jason lives in mississippi so i rarely see him. so we met as usual at jury's before the show. i ended up having 2 martinis, no food, bad idea. then we cabbed it to symphony hall. jason ended up ordering a bottle of shiraz i think and i proceeded to drink most of it i think. the pops were great and so was natalie though i didn't recognize much of what she did. i had to leave actually to go get sick in the bathroom. i remember sitting on the toilet puking redness through my legs and getting it on my dressy, dry clean only, black n white clothes. still need to dry clean them. i was a mess. spent the rest of the show in the bathroom, maybe 4 songs, not sure. after i left the bathroom i had to call jason to see where he was and we found each other outside. i don't remember much of what happened after that. apparently we were waiting outside and db was coming to pick me up. i thought he'd just pull up to me and i'd get in the car. jason and i were having some conversation that i can't remember and he's mentioned a few times but no details to jog my memory. next thing i know db is walking up to us and introducing himself to jason. not sure what they said to each other, i was out of it. i said my goodbyes to jason and we took off. i don't think db appreciated my drunkenness and brought me home to pass out and then he went out w/ his friends. he came back to my place late that night, 1am?? and i think we had a lovely fight. oh the memories.
You have to get this song, Buffalo Stampede. It's awesome! rr and i tried to write down the lyrics when we saw him perform it on Nashville Star when the song first came out. That was a long time ago and now it's on iTunes so you should go get it!
i was just telling rr that i think i deleted what we came up w/ for lyrics because we got in a fight and he thought that was ridiculous and wanted to give me some kind of maturity award for being a retard but i think it sounds totally fine, though i did still have it anyway. here it is, obviously it's incomplete but we gave up eventually:
Go! First thing that you feel is the rumblin',
the next thing you know everything starts crumblin'
struggling and you're trying to escape so you wanna get away from your fate but you can't but wait, ow no, ain't no discounts
each and every one of y'all get the full amount
of the lyrical gumbo, not mumbo
with his strength in the concrete jungle
the life of the low from the btx
cape on the back and the t on my chest
am i up to the test, ow yes
with a brand new style, so pressed
someone's tryin' to say hold on, should on
make way for the buffalo stampedecountry hickness, like a horse in the preakness
your whole world can change in the blink of an eye
chickens
the buffalo is on a roll
shake my first
shake with this i'm a country hickness, running
from little bighorn to wounded knee
black in the saddle
Here's what someone else came up with: lyrics
Go download NiN for free
so natasha's latest stuff is my most recent purchase and i like it just as much or more than her first. and they each remind me of something now. her first cd i listened to a ton when i was in florida w/ ella rae. i had 3 weeks off from vet school in sep '05 so spent it watching ella. when my brother or hallie would get home from work i'd go running and i'd listen to it so now those songs always remind me of ella. now the latest cd will remind me of db because i had just bought it the other day and was listening the first few times and he was there and a lot of it is about boys anyway.
It's official, Aaron is off to Belgium. Nothing great lasts forever!
Several people have asked so I figured I'd let you all know that I am moving to Antwerp at the end of this month. I took a job at an Advertising Agency there and will try it out for a few years. I plan to take advantage of their socialized way of life like 6 wks vacation and subsidized childcare. I also intend on making my first self produced solo record there. Dear Leader will continue to play the occasional show and make a new record at some point in the future. Thanks to everyone who has supported me throughout the years and obviously this isn't goodbye just see you later.
Aaron

A perfectly beautiful song from Moz, Jack the Ripper
Oh you look so tired
mouth slack and wide
ill housed and ill advised
your face is as mean
as your life has beenCrash into my arms
I want you
you don't agree
but you don't refuse
I know youAnd I know a place
where no one is likely to pass
you don't care if it's late
and you don't care if you're lostAnd oh you look so tired
but tonight you presume too much
too much, too much
and if it's the last thing I ever do
I'm going to get youCrash into my arms
I want you
you don't agree
but you don't refuse
I know youCrash into my arms
I want you
you don't agree
but you don't refuse
I know you
I forgot all about this band, never really paid attention to them. Guess they are no longer.
One day at work, way back when at the Brigham, pre-2003, Randy came into work w/ a flyer for the band. He ripped it off a pole or something on his way to work. He thought it was funny, and I'd have to agree.
Wonder if they still have the shirts. I'll have to buy one.
Greg sent it to me. He's done w/ Moz at this point but I'm still a fan. Have to say this article is hard to take, Moz sounds like a dick, but I think we already knew his ways.
If you're looking for something to do for the next 50 minutes, watch this The Smiths documentary.
And if you're not looking for something to do, do it anyway because you LOVE me!
your most serene highness (according to John),

Good thing there wasn't a night four because I'm not sure I could have made it. It was a great 3 nights of TSD and luckily I remembered my camera for the last night. Here they are performing 'I'm a Believer.'
Here are some of the pics.

Thanks for stopping by!

Really?
Thanks, very nice of you.
First, check my Amazon.com Wish List and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.
Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.
A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
