I was walking my dog across the intersection at Park and Beacon and some short round guy in a green Celtics jacket says 'your dog is beautiful' so i say 'thanks' as i keep walking by and then he says something again. i wasn't sure at first what he said but after my brain had time to process i think he said 'not you, your dog.' then i come inside my building w/ my dog and get on the elevator w/ another man and his dog. this man is an older gay man that seems kinda nice but lives w/ his mean bf that was rude to me once when he asked if we owned or rented. so the 'nice' half of this partnership was complimenting cleo on our elevator ride and he always refers to her as a boy and it's happened so much that i feel dumb correcting him now plus he's never given me the opportunity by asking if she's male or female like most people do but i ended up saying 'she's a crazy mix' and as he gets off the elevator he says in his nice smiley way 'just like our president, a crazy mix' and i can only assume that was supposed to be a compliment maybe, not sure but i would think a 60+ year old gay guy might be an obama supporter except that he lives in my building and it seems very obvious that he has money so maybe he is a gay conservative. not sure though. then after i dropped off my dog and left for work i walked past the same short round guy in a green Celtics jacket but this time he said nothing to me, but he wasn't silent. i'm sure he's crazy.
