I sent Ed Hochuli a nice email

and he responded. Yay! Ed Hochuli! I heart Ed Hochuli!! But I wish things weren't so bad for you right now :0(

Heather,
Thank you so much for writing. I really appreciate the kind words of support. It was very nice of you to have taken the time to write me. I will learn from this mistake and try to move on, but this one will forever haunt me.
Thank you,
Ed Hochuli

Have you been watching the Tour de France?

I kinda have been when I'm scamming TV off rr/j and they won't let me change the channel. I'm kinda in zombie mode when watching so couldn't really tell you much about anything. So this American team Garmin Chipotle is doing well. I also love that they race w/ Felt because I have a little yellow Felt and I love it!

Unfortunately looking at the team roster David Millar stands out as a wicked sore thumb to me for his previous use of EPO and his 2 year ban. Always trying to stand firm against the cheaters and druggies but find it almost impossible to do and still enjoy the sport.

Did you join the Kenda Fantasy Cycling Challenge? I did but don't have the best idea of what I'm doing. I guess it'll just be fun to compete against the Bad Boy Family and see how bad I do. Bad Boy represent I guess.

My team:

Jimmy Casper
Oscar Pereiro
Haimar Zubeldia
Christophe Moreau
George Hincapie
Cadel Evans
Robbie McEwen
Juan Antonio Flecha
Fabian Cancellara
Stuart O'Grady
Christian Vandevelde
Yaroslav Popovych
Thomas Voeckler
Baden Cooke
Manuel Beltran

Go Jen!

Jen made it into the 5000m finals by taking second in her semifinal heat. She needs to be in the top 3 in the finals on Friday to make the Olympic Team. This would be her 3 (consecutive) appearance, all 3 different events. First it was the 10,000m, then the marathon, and this time the 5000m.

Go Luck Jen!

Post-game clean up, just right outside my door

So I came outside this morning to find the big concrete pots outside my building and the adjacent businesses had been broken to pieces and the mess was being cleaned up.

Someone had also pushed the green USPS storage mailbox in the street and I caught the mailman moving it back.

postgamecleanup3

This just happened while I was walking by. A man was standing by this traffic light when that black piece fell down on him or next to him. Weird.

Nice chair in the rode.

I guess Jen won't be here for the Trials, oops

She's concentrating on the 5000 instead.

The Boston Indoor Games are tomorrow

Jen is running in the 2 mile. I would like to go but I think it's sold out. I think it'll be on tv sunday so I can watch it then or just get the results online tomorrow.

Hope she doesn't mind if I post this pic. Not that she'll probably ever see my site. It's of Carrie, Jen and me at the junior prom. Behind us are Kevin (Jen's date) and Os (something Ostrander, I forget his first name, Carrie's date) and my date TJ is not in the picture. The funny thing about my date was he was a senior and I had known him forever but we were just friends. I was actually dating Ian at the time but he wasn't in the circle of our friends so I couldn't bring him. I was mean.

RAAM (Race Across America)

So my friend Mariana and her gf Andrea are doing this crazy bike race across the US called RAAM. Here's their team page, Xtreme4. They also want people to go green for their race week. You can go pledge to do it online. Easy for me, I don't have a car.

Lance is running Boston

I think it's a good thing.

Thanks for ruining my birthday Red Sox!

actually though all the blame lies w/ Cleveland.

Way to fuck it all up! Take out my Yankees and then up 3-1 in the Sox series and go home losers after game 7. Outscored 30-5 in the last 3 games.

Pathetic!

Let's go Colorado, now that hurts to say.

Smack por Burghardt!

This video is ridiculous! Only a lab would walk across the road w/ a zillion cyclists going by at 30 mph acting like he's out for a leisurely stroll around the French countryside, get hit full force causing the destruction of thousands of dollars of bike, and get up like nothing really happened and walk away while the biker is stunned on the pavement.

Good on ya, Robbie McEwen!

Way to win Stage 1. Keep it up! I look forward to your sprint finishes daily on your way to the Green.

Welcome back Tour de France!!

Today's the day! Prologue today in London. GO GEORGE! (I forgot OLN is now Versus. Stupid name.) I have a full day today. Got up early this morning to meet the CRC for a long run. Tara and I ran together ~7.5 miles. Came home to fall asleep to the Prologue. I couldn't sleep last night because I have bad PMS cramps! So now I need a nap. I was supposed to go home this weekend for the Boilermaker but mid-week I found out Morrissey was re-scheduled for tonite so even though I took Friday and Monday off to go home and race and had paid for my race entry, I didn't want to miss the concert. I still won't believe it's happening until Morrissey shows up on stage since he's canceled so many shows since he walked off stage at our show. I hope with this time off he's able to perform ok. I'm sure he'll have some choice words for us after all this drama and I don't want to miss this rare opportunity. Straight from the concert I am then meeting some people to go dancing! Very exciting!! especially since I lost my dancing partner to motherhood last year but the latest I've found is moving to Cali so I'm still searching for more clubbing friends.

Thanks for stopping by!

Buy Me Stuff

Really?

Thanks, very nice of you.

First, check my Amazon.com Wish List and there's no need to worry that I already have it or won't use it.

Tip: Check around for better pricing. Amazon's pricing is usually good, but not always the best available.

A quick Froogle search can't hurt.
